Job Brief:
Our Client is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to provide leadership in developing and maintaining policies on general logistics procedures, maintaining overall inventory based on demand. The role will provide logistical support to company shipping personnel and manage resolution of any shipping claims.
Job Profile:
Utilizes forecasting or historical demand to establish inventory levels.
Ensures quality control of materials purchased.
Manages adjustments to product costs based on changes in exchange rates.
Supports Sales and Marketing functions in establishing product pricing strategies.
Performs supply chain-new vendor qualification/second sourcing.
Performs supplier and customer relationship/ratings.
Performs periodic site audits of key suppliers.
Responsible for inventory levels.
Reviews and assigns materials ranking for active SKU’s.
Directs cycle count program and annual physical inventory process.
Performs cycle counts as required to support the accuracy of on-hand inventory.
Tracks department expenditures to ensure adherence to operating budget.
Provides input and data to support budgeting.
Minimizes overall inventory value while maintaining on time delivery to customer.
Performs logistics coordination and sources the most cost-effective shipping/receiving.
Optimize inventory and supply chain activities and documentation for productivity.
Experience and Skills:
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
4+ years materials management experience, including 2-5 management experience.
Strong analytic skills.
Intermediate to expert use of current Microsoft suite of products (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Business accounting skills.
Must be able to communicate in English (verbal and written) to internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills.
